Jigsaw CEO resigns

 
 According to recent news in Drapers, Des Swan, the chief executive of Robinson Webster Holdings, the parent company behind Jigsaw, Kew 159 and Cabbages & Roses, has resigned.
Further details of the resignation are not known at this stage but according to documents filed at Companies House Swan, who was named as chief executive just under a year ago in October 2010, resigned on September 16.
A source confirmed that Swan is no longer with the business but that no further information was available at this stage.
Swan replaced John Robinson, founder of Jigsaw, as chief executive in October after joining the business as a consultant in May 2010.
Swan’s most significant prior stint in retail was at shirting retailer Thomas Pink, where he was finance director and then managing director throughout the 1990’s.
He subsequently pursued a varied career in politics, breeding race horses and consultancy.
During his time as chief executive at Robinson Webster Holdings, Swan oversaw the revamp of of womenswear retailer Kew into the more trend-led Kew 159 as well as relaunching menswear under the Jigsaw label.
It is not known if Swan has another job.
