| Chris Woodhouse, Finance Director of Debenhams plc, has informed the board that he wishes to step down from his role to focus on his other business interests, including his chairmanships of Gondola Group and Agent Provocateur. After achieving a successful handover, Mr. Woodhouse will resign from the board at the Annual General Meeting on 10 January 2012 and will leave the business on 27 January 2012.
The board is pleased to announce that Simon Herrick will succeed Chris Woodhouse. Mr. Herrick will join Debenhams on 1 November 2011 as a member of the board and will take up the appointment of Chief Financial Officer on 10 January 2012.
