Monthly rent concession

Dreams and Comet have become the latest tenants to seek monthly rent concessions from their landlords.
Dreams is negotiating with the landlords of its 288-strong portfolio to switch around 50 of its properties to a pay monthly basis.
Chief executive Nick Worthington has sent a letter to landlords with a deed of variation already signed by him. "We have an open dialogue with our landlords and regularly review the shape of our property portfolio," said a company spokesman.
Comet is also approaching landlords across its 243-strong portfolio asking to switch from quarterly to monthly rents.
A Comet spokesman said: "Like many retailers, we review the terms and conditions of our existing leases on a regular basis."
