Peacock, who has been at Debenhams for 10 years and was responsible for introducing H! by Henry Holland to the Designers at Debenhams range and creating the Edition concept, will be replaced by Lisa Marie Peacock, who covered her role while she was on maternity leave.
Peacock will join Marks & Spencer as head of design for footwear and accessories, Autograph, Classics and the Indigo Collection.
A Marks & Spencer spokesman said: "Karen will help us to continue to deliver the key trends for our customers."
