| | Shopping Centre reports that Next has exchanged on a 20,000sq ft unit at Newport's Friars Walk development. The letting marks the return of Next to the city centre following the closure of its store in the last two years.
Queensberry Real Estate was chosen by Newport City Council to rejuvenate Newport's city centret with a modern shopping centre that integrates into the city’s existing retail fabric. Friars Walk will bring more than 390,000 sq ft of modern, well configured retail and leisure space, and will include 35 retail units, 10 restaurants, 360 parking spaces and a major new bus station and interchange. Construction is due to start early next year and it is due to open in Autumn 2015. |
