	April's consumer confidence rises to highest level since June 2007

	Retail Bulletin reports that according to GfK's Consumer Confidence Barometer, UK consumer confidence in April rose to its highest level since June 2007, with the headline figure increasing by 2 points to -3. While the measure for consumers’ personal financial situation over the next 12 months remained at the same as in March, the measure for the general economic situation of the country over the next 12 months increased by four points to 8. Meanwhile, the climate for major purchases index rose three points to -4, which is 21 points higher than this time last year.
